Colombo, Sri Lanka As part of its commitment to empowering university students and fresh graduates through meaningful industry engagement and career opportunities, IEEE StudPro 9.0, an initiative of IEEE Young Professionals Sri Lanka, successfully organized the Future Sri Lanka - Career Fair 2026. The initiative was designed to bridge the gap between academia and the corporate sector by providing participants from diverse fields, including Management, Engineering, and Computing, with direct access to industry professionals and genuine recruitment opportunities. The event brought together 20+ leading companies from multiple industries, enabling participants to explore career opportunities, engage directly with recruiters, understand industry expectations, and take part in recruitment activities. Through the collaboration of IEEE StudPro 9.0, industry partners, and sponsors, the career fair provided a valuable platform for students and fresh graduates to connect with potential employers and take meaningful steps towards their professional careers.

The Future Sri Lanka - Career Fair 2026 was a national level career fair organized by IEEE StudPro 9.0, an initiative of IEEE Young Professionals Sri Lanka, with the aim of creating a direct connection between university students, fresh graduates and the corporate sector. The event was designed for participants from diverse academic backgrounds, including Management, Engineering, and Computing, providing them with access to genuine recruitment opportunities and direct interactions with industry professionals.
The main purpose of the event was to bridge the gap between undergraduates and the job market by bringing companies from different industries and their career opportunities together on a single platform. Participants had the opportunity to engage directly with recruiters, learn about available positions, understand industry expectations, and take part in recruitment activities and interviews. With 20+ companies participating as recruiters, including Idea8, Kawdoco, Virtusa, Nagarro, Blue Matrix, Fitzky, VSIS, MintHRM, Singer, SLT Mobitel, Sino Lanka, HUTCH, Octave, Acceler, HCLTech, GEP, InTalent Asia, UJPS, Apartner, HotJobs and Kai Innovation, the event provided students with exposure to actual recruitment opportunities across multiple sectors.
The event was supported by International Education Consultancy (IEC) as the Global Education Pathway Partner and Pearl Bay as the Leisure Partner. Through the collaboration of IEEE StudPro 9.0, recruiting companies, partners, and sponsors, the career fair created a platform for students and fresh graduates to connect with potential employers and explore career opportunities.
